Czech-Romanian matchmaking seminar on Smart technologies

One of the rare guests of the seminar will be Mr. Vladimír Války, Ambassador of the Czech

Republic to Romania. Among Czech smart technology experts, Jiří Konečný, executive of ELKO EP, will present his lecture on IoT in Smart City & Agriculture.

Romania is a very important economic partner of the Czech Republic. Our bilateral trade turnover amounted in 2018 to a record value of nearly EUR 4,68 billion out of which Czech export amounted EUR 2,57 billion and import from Romania EUR 2,11 billion. The Czech Republic ranked 10th in the top foreign investors in Romania and the investments amounted EUR 1,37 billion in 2018. Smart cities are urban areas that use different types of smart technologies. For instance electronic data collection sensors to supply information which is used to manage assets and resources efficiently. More and more cities in the Czech Republic and Romania start to realize what kind of benefits

smart technologies have and what impact they can have on their budgets and on quality of life for their citizens.

The Czech-Romanian Matchmaking Seminar On Smart Technologies will be held in English and it is an open discussion in which experts and representatives of some of the most important companies debate the main investment opportunities in Romania. The seminar is held on the ocassion of the 15th anniversary of Czech membership in the European Union, which will be accompanied by a small exhibition.
